HOPEHOPE is one of Enactus Sheffield's longest running projects. It aims to help those who have undergone one of the most traumatic experiences imaginable; human trafficking and/or domestic abuse.
Our team helps women in several safe houses across Yorkshire who have undergone this traumatic experience through both a cosmetic and jewellery enterprise. Our programme helps the women to rebuild their confidence and learn valuable work skills, as well as earn a wage, in safety and security. |
Homemade / Re:madeSheffield has one of the largest homeless populations in the UK outside of London. These disadvantaged individuals need help and support so as they don't become stuck in the cycle of homelessness.
Through a structure of a jam-making business (Homemade) and an up-cycling business (Re:Made), we aim to teach valuable entrepreneurial and business skills to the homeless population in Sheffield, helping them in their journey back to sustainable and long-term employment! This builds their confidence and helps to get them back on their feet. |
Tapping PotentialTapping Potential is Enactus Sheffield's brand new international project, being carried out in Zambia. Tapping Potential is aiming to provide thousands across Zambia and Sub-Saharan Africa with clean water and sanitation solutions.
Diarrhoea is one of the largest killers in Africa, and it is completely preventable simply by having access to clean water, knowledge of good sanitation practice, and access to medicine. Through a soap and water enterprise, we are improving access to this for thousands. |
Blankets 4 BoliviaEl Paz is the world's highest city and is home to 900,000 people. The majority of the population live below the poverty line, the temperature regularly drops below freezing, and many people have been forced out on to the streets because of recent flooding.
Enactus Sheffield have designed and distributed specially-made blankets from crisp packets which are not only stronger, but also warmer than traditional relief blankets. This is saving lives and helping those in a community which is desperately in need. |
